Innovate the Future Community,

The Lockheed Martin Innovate the Future team would like to once again thank everyone for their participation in the Innovate the Future Challenge as we celebrate the 100 year anniversary of Lockheed Martin. We have enjoyed engaging with you and have appreciated the many creative ideas that were submitted.

After much review and consideration, 15 ideas have been selected to present to a panel of judges during the month of November. The selected ideas are as follows:

3D Volumetric Display using OLED and LCD CREDS - a Global Trusted Universal Credentialing Service Revolutionary Vertical Axis Micro Wind Turbine with Dynamic Blade Pitching for Urban Environments WAVE Mobile Application: Creating Safe Communities Anti-Statistical Block Encryption (ASBE) Overcomes 2 Major Risks of Current Encryption Avatar Assisted Therapy Beyond Internet: A Technology Ecosystem for Slums and Rural Areas in Developing Countries Energy saving in mobile devices with LED Screens Enhancing Solar Cell Efficiency Using Photonic Engineering Design Extremely sensitive and high-throughput photonics-based biosensor for early-stage cancer detection Adaptive, Autonomic Malware Detection Automated fluid Injection System by Bio-parameters Extracted from Patient's PPG Signal Customized normalcy profiles for computer systems The DC House Project: Providing Access to Electricity for the Unfortunates Uknow (Universal Knowledge)

Thank you to everyone who has submitted an idea, comment, or voted on ideas since this challenge opened on August 6th. For those who still have ideas they want to share, it's not too late! The challenge will be open through Sunday, September 30th and there is no limit to the number of ideas any individual can submit. Be sure to tell your friends, family, and colleagues about this opportunity before it ends.

We plan to select the top ideas for the next stage review during the month of October and will announce these winners via this website in addition to attempting to contact them directly. As the terms and conditions state, individuals or entities will present their proposals to the Judges via telephone with the support of online meeting software on or about November 7, 2012.

We wanted to take a few moments to thank everyone who contributed to the Innovate the Future Challenge thus far and welcome many of the University students, faculty, and staff from around the world to this honorable goal of helping to keep our planet safe and secure.

We're very excited to see some excellent and creative ideas out there and look forward to engaging many of you about these. Remember, the challenge ends on September 30th and there is no limit to the number of ideas that you can submit.

In addition to the $50K in cash prizes we'd like to remind you that incubation services will be provided to winning ideas to help bring them to fruition.

Welcome to the Innovate the Future Challenge in celebration of Lockheed Martin's 100-year anniversary! We look forward to hearing about your ideas on how to keep our planet safe and secure for the next 100 years. You can submit as many ideas as you'd like until September 30, 2012 and we look forward to discussing these with you.
